Sales Coordinator

Summary

We are looking for a qualified and talented individual with experience in coordination, customer service, banquets and sales.

Duties s

• Support Sales team members with administrative tasks.

• Receive all incoming requests and assign appropriate sales manager;

• Prepare administrative follow-ups and enter data for final groups (follow up on first deposit, adjust the System according to contract, follow up with relevant departments such as accounting, reservations and the convention department)

• Coordinate small internal/external events, sales and coordination;

• Make changes and send daily reports;

• Stationery inventory;

• Drafting of gift certificates

• Prepare pre-conference posters and signage;

• Collaborate in the management of open blocks for weddings and tours and travel;

• Manage mail for the department;

• Prepare gifts and sales tools for the delegates;

• Prepare menus and coupons for groups;

• Distribute change log information;

• Miscellaneous projects.

Main skills

• College studies in hotel or restaurant management or in sales and marketing;

• A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in a similar position;

• Strong customer service skills and ability to anticipate customer needs;

• Proven leadership and professionalism;

• Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure;

• Strong communication, teamwork and team management skills;

• Autonomy and dynamism;

• Speed of execution;

• Flexibility in terms of work schedule;

• Very good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook);

• Fluency in French and English (knowledge of another language will be considered an asset)

Qualifications Qual ifications 

• Two years or less of experience in a similar position in the hotel industry

• Experience in a unionized environment is an asset

• Bilingual - oral and written (French and English)

• Knowledge of English is required for this position, as the duties may involve communication with external stakeholders and English-speaking clients, as well as reviewing documents written in English.
