Advance your legal expertise with Monex Canada as a Legal Counsel. This full-time role involves advising on diverse jurisdictional legal matters and collaborating with the Global General Counsel. As a Legal Counsel at Monex Canada, you'll provide essential legal support on compliance, corporate governance, and regulatory affairs. This role is key in managing legal risks and enforcing adherence to financial regulations across North America, Europe, and Asia while drafting and negotiating contracts. Your contributions will directly influence the company's strategic objectives on an international scale. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide legal advice on regulatory and commercial matters
• Draft and negotiate client and vendor contracts
• Assess compliance with laws and regulations
• Support corporate governance and maintain accurate records
• Assist with litigation, legal research, and document preparation Requirements:
• Law degree (LLB or JD) and authorization to practice in Canada
• Knowledge of financial compliance and regulatory environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
