About the job

As a key team player you will:

• Provide leadership and expertise in support of the contract management of province-wide agreements with health care providers, and institutions.
• Develop agreements with health care providers and institutions.
• Advise senior management and executives on solutions to complex contract management and program design issues.
• Participate on internal and external committees with outside agencies.
• Lead high-impact projects including the design and implementation of new initiatives.

What you bring to the team

Analytical and Problem Solving Skills

You have:

• Ability to understand, interpret and apply complex policies, agreements and legislation.
• Analytical and research skills to monitor and evaluate programs, identify impacts, develop recommendations based on data, and understanding and interpret complicated business initiatives.
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills, to identify and resolve complex issues with contracts.
• Ability to research, analyze, synthesize and interpret data and provide solutions and recommendations for corrective action and/or implementation.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

You have:

• Proven written and verbal communication skills to develop and deliver effective reports, briefings and correspondence on complex and contentious healthcare and related matters.
• Confidence to deliver presentations and briefings to senior executives/stakeholders and provide advice and recommendations to facilitate the decision‑making process.
• Ability to use standard office software to prepare own materials (e.g. reports, briefings, presentations).

Leadership and Relationship Management Skills

You have:

• Ability to effectively assess situations requiring diplomacy and tact, while demonstrating political acuity.
• Ability to build credible, professional partnerships with ministry executives and across the organization.
• Consultation and interpersonal skills to advise and influence partners and senior executives.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve results using a positive, collaborative and values‑based approach with peers and stakeholders.

Project Leadership Skills

You have:

• Project management and strategic planning skills to lead and coordinate projects with various stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
• Experience in managing all phases of projects, from initial concept through to implementation and adoption, meeting competing deadlines and milestones.
• Ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and working groups.
