• Enter and process prescriptions accurately ( Fillware experience is a plus)
• Create and maintain patient profiles and prescription information
• Assist with prescription preparation, including counting, packaging, labelling, and organizing medications for pharmacist verification
• Process prescription refills and manage refill requests
• Process ODB and private insurance claims , including third-party billing and claim rejections
• Communicate with patients, physicians' offices, insurance providers, and other healthcare professionals as required
• Answer incoming telephone calls and appropriately direct clinical questions to the pharmacist
• Assist patients at prescription drop-off and pick-up
• Prepare and maintain blister packs/compliance packaging
• Assist with prescription deliveries and delivery coordination
• Receive pharmacy orders and accurately put away medications and supplies
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with medication ordering
• Complete inventory counts, expiry-date checks, medication returns, and recalls
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation
• Process cash, debit, credit, and other point-of-sale transactions when required
• Maintain patient confidentiality and protect personal health information
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional dispensary and work environment
• Work collaboratively with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, assistants, and other team members
• Perform other pharmacy-related administrative and operational duties as assigned
