As a Senior Trade Compliance Specialist, you will provide expert guidance on customs regulations and compliance practices. Your role will encompass managing compliance across Finning’s diverse business units, analyzing risk, and leading improvement initiatives. You'll collaborate closely with external partners like CBSA and CBP to uphold high compliance standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and govern customs compliance processes effectively
- Deliver strategic insights on tariff and duty regulations
- Manage intricate HS classifications and compliance assessments
- Conduct audits and provide corrective actions for risks
- Serve as primary contact for regulatory interactions
- Minimum of 10 years in trade compliance and customs
- Relevant degree and professional certifications preferred
- Strong understanding of trade regulations and compliance frameworks
- Proficient in data analysis tools like Excel and Power BI
- Excellent presentation and mentorship skills
