Senior EMC Engineer for Aviation Safety

Lead in aircraft electromagnetic protection as a Senior EMC Engineer. Focus on addressing EMI and ensuring compliance with industry regulations in a full-time or contract role. This critical position demands expertise in electromagnetic compatibility and assessments related to aircraft safety. You will review qualifications, analyze compliance with regulations, and collaborate with suppliers on design optimizations. Your ability to navigate regulatory frameworks will enhance continued airworthiness projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Execute assignments in electromagnetic compatibility engineering
- Assess compliance with fuel tank safety regulations
- Review electromagnetic qualification documentation
- Analyze aircraft-level EMI and lightning effects
- Support design collaborations with system suppliers
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering; electromagnetics is a strong asset
- 5 years of EMC-related experience required
- General knowledge of aircraft and system design
- Strong EMI/EMC principles understanding
- Familiarity with DO-160, FAA requirements preferred
