Overview:

Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary office is actively hiring for a Cyber Security Intern to join the team. This position reports to the Manager, Cyber Security Ops & Identity Management, part of Pembina’s Information Services Unit. 

Pembina's Information Services Unit manages and maintains the company's infrastructure, provides technical support, ensures data security and accessibility, implements new technology, strategies for future development, manages vendors, and ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The Cyber Security Intern will support the Cyber Operations and Identity & Access Management (IAM) teams by assisting with cybersecurity initiatives, identity governance activities, process automation, compliance reporting, and operational improvements.

This is an 8-month contract position. The successful candidate must live within 100 km of Calgary

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

• Perform role‑specific responsibilities such as supporting cybersecurity initiatives, identity governance activities, process automation, compliance reporting, and operational improvements. This may also include participating in a project and presenting outcomes or learnings at the end of the term;
• Support day‑to‑day work and learning activities related to the team or function, using tools such as Windows, Active Directory, Entra ID/Azure AD, IAM-related systems, Microsoft Office, Copilot/ChatGPT, and other applicable systems;
• Support Pembina’s safety culture of “Zero by Choice” by caring for yourself and others and following Pembina’s Life Saving Rules at all times;
• Demonstrate Pembina’s values by working in a manner that is Safe, Trustworthy, Respectful, Collaborative, and Entrepreneurial, recognizing that how results are achieved matters; and
• Contribute to an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace by being gracious, kind, respectful, and working effectively with others.

Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices;
• Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary program and returning to school following the end of the work term;
• Field of study aligned with, or providing relevant transferable skills for, the role applied for;
• Ability to commit to the full duration of the term and required schedule; and
• Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn in a structured environment, aligned with Pembina’s values and safety expectations. 

The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. The final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check. 

This position is scheduled to be posted until end of day: 10/07/2026. In rare circumstances, a position may be posted for less time if there has been significant interest in the role.
