WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Digital Marketing Manager (Paid) - Origins - Global to own the Global Paid Media Strategy for the Origins Brand. You will be responsible for developing and executing the overarching paid media strategy (search, social, display, video, programmatic) and managing the end‑to‑end campaign lifecycle from planning to reporting.
This is a hybrid role, based 3 days out of our Liberty Village, Toronto office.
PAY RANGE
The anticipated base salary for this position is $96,000 to $100,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.
WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE
- Lead Creative Strategy & Personalization: Champion a differentiated and personalized creative approach. Partner with platforms, brand, and creative teams to align paid, email, and web content, leveraging CDP for relevant messaging and product delivery
- Manage Agencies & Partnerships: Work closely with external paid media agencies, setting performance expectations, overseeing execution, managing budgets, and fostering innovation‑driven relationships
- Build strong relationships with Email, Social, Brand, Design, and SEO teams to create seamless customer flows and optimize search performance
- Be the primary contact for Origins’ global media agency, facilitating ad content planning and development. Ensure ad planning, set‑up, and operations align with Origins’ media requirements and KPIs from campaign inception to launch
- Lead and advocate for media plan proposals with internal cross‑functional teams
- With the agency, manage the monthly pacing and optimization of paid media campaigns to meet business objectives
- Monitor and track media budgets, process financial transactions, create PR/POs.
- Work closely with the CRM team and Data & Analytics to leverage Origins’ first‑party data for audience strategy development with the agency
- Maintain relationships with partners to assist in troubleshooting any issues pertaining to ads
- Identify opportunities, work closely with creative teams to ensure best‑in‑class output of platform‑specific creative ad content to drive campaign goals.
- Create and manage creative briefs for paid media copy and creatives.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE
- 3-5 years of experience running media for a global brand, with a deep global understanding of digital marketing tactics across paid social, paid search, display and programmatic.
- Experience managing a global paid media agency, large media budgets and campaigns across multiple digital advertising channels including paid search, paid social, display, retargeting, video, etc.
- Experience running global brand awareness and performance campaigns
- Hands‑on fluency with Shopify's paid media ecosystem — including product catalog management, Shopify Audiences, and pixel/server‑side tracking setup (e.g. via Meta CAPI) — and experience evaluating and working with technology to implement apps or third‑party tools (attribution, feed management, tracking) that improve paid performance.
- Deep strategic expertise on multiple advertising platforms (e.g., Google, Meta, TikTok, Snap, Pinterest, Reddit, etc.).
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of how owned, earned, and paid media function together.
