Emergency Department Unit Worker Role Winnipeg

Become an essential part of Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department as a Unit Worker. This role focuses on patient transport and maintaining a safe, clean workplace every day. As a Unit Worker, you will significantly impact the quality of care provided to patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in transporting patients safely within the hospital
- Ensure all patient areas and washrooms are sanitized
- Retrieve and restock necessary equipment and supplies
- Perform essential cleaning duties according to protocols
- Contribute positively to teamwork and patient support
Requirements
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma is essential
- Preferred one year of hospital cleaning experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical capability to lift heavy items and stand long hours
- Familiarity with health and safety policies in a hospital
