Software Development Technical Team Lead

Univeris is hiring a Software Development Technical Team Lead to enhance collaboration and innovation within a hybrid setting in Toronto. Bring your expertise to drive team growth and product excellence. You will combine technical leadership with hands-on engineering, guiding your team through complex software development processes. Your role encompasses leading design specifications and fostering a culture of continuous improvement using AI tools. Work collaboratively with project stakeholders to maintain high standards of technical delivery. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct mentorship and skill development through regular feedback
- Direct the execution of design and adherence to architecture principles
- Regularly collaborate on decisions impacting software delivery
- Advocate for an AI-first approach in development processes
- Manage expectations during client engagements and development requests
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 8+ years software development experience
- 5+ years in cloud-native or API-centric environments
- 2+ years leading software teams
- Strong technical expertise in Java, SQL Server, and microservices
