Manager of Software Development for AI (Toronto)

Join us as an Engineering Manager leading the charge on our AI Agent Platform projects in Vancouver. Manage and grow a skilled engineering team focused on backend solutions.
We are on the lookout for an Engineering Manager to oversee our Agent Platform. You will lead a talented team in building and maintaining scalable backend services while ensuring close collaboration with product, AI, and infrastructure teams. Your role is critical for driving technical direction and execution quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor engineers for developing the core agent platform
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality platform capabilities
- Collaborate to design systems for agent execution and reliability
- Engage with cross-functional partners to define key requirements
- Promote best practices for code quality and operational success
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience; 2+ in management
- Proven track record in production-grade backend systems
- Solid knowledge of distributed systems architecture
- Experience with Python or similar programming languages
- Familiarity with AI systems in production environments
