Lead the AI Model Serving team at Workday as a Principal Software Development Engineer. Focus on building large-scale distributed systems while shaping critical design decisions. In this pivotal role, you'll partner with the engineering manager to set a product vision for Workday's AI Model Serving platform. With over eight years of experience, you'll leverage your expertise in Python, distributed systems, and machine learning models to guide the platform's evolution. Your impact will be seen across teams as you ensure efficient deployment of AI models at scale. Key Responsibilities:
- Define the product vision for the AI Model Serving platform
- Lead technical design making critical performance choices
- Implement and maintain large-scale ML systems
- Document new components for team consensus
- Evaluate new technologies for platform enhancement
- 8+ years in software development focused on distributed systems
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field
- Proficiency in Python with production code experience
- Familiarity with LLMs and traditional ML models
- Knowledge of Ray Serve for distributed systems
