Utilize your legal expertise at the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority as a Legal Counsel in a hybrid setting for up to 14 months. This temporary full-time role invites a skilled lawyer to offer legal services focused on corporate and real estate matters. You will draft and negotiate contracts, provide counsel on statutory interpretations, and support legal proceedings, all while contributing to the legal services business planning process. Engage in health and safety initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to safeguard the interests of the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority. Key Responsibilities:
• Draft and review contracts and essential legal documents
• Counsel on statutory interpretations and obligations
• Advise on legal trends and developments
• Manage real estate and corporate transactions
• Participate in health and safety initiatives Requirements:
• Law Degree from a recognized university
• Minimum three years of solicitor experience
• Eligibility for Law Society of B.C. membership
• General corporate and real estate law experience
