Assistant Front Store Manager - Looking for local talent

SUMMARY:

To assist the Front Store Manager (FSM) in managing the human, physical and financial resources of the store and in ensuring that store objectives are achieved by focusing on improving product flow from the backroom to the sales floor.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

OPERATIONS:

• Maintain store standards to optimize customer experience, drive customer traffic, and positively impact store profitability.
• Work with management team to ensure store standards are in effect 100% of the time, including the backroom.
• Help manage labour scheduling in conjunction with the FSM and leverage WFM to maximize labour productivity.
• Ensure staffing levels are adequate to effectively operate the business.

HUMAN RESOURCES:

• Comply with Human Resources standards.
• Help with hiring in conjunction with the FSM; hire or support hiring for all departments, excluding Pharmacy.
• Maintain wage administration within SLPH guidelines.
• Drive Blue Culture, engagement, and lead and motivate staff through core values.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Planning, judgment and decision making.
• Planning and preparation for inventory management.
• Use judgment to control expenses.
• Provide effective leadership and mentorship, ensuring development of all staff.
• Efficient time management skills.
• Prioritize activities quickly in response to changing initiatives.
• Effective organization and planning skills.

EXPERIENCE:

• Previous retail management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to drive the business, lead by example, and support corporate programs.
• Work effectively with management team.
• Superior interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills.
• Business and financial acumen.
• Relationship building with key internal and external agencies.

Hiring Range: $20.00 – $27.00 per hour. A candidate’s experience and knowledge as well as the geographical region may be factored into the pay a candidate receives for this position.
