Talent Consultant (Markham)

About the role

Adecco is hiring a Talent Consultant for a local branch. The role is hybrid, requiring periodic in‑office attendance for training and weekly tasks, while primarily working remotely. The consultant will create an exceptional customer and candidate experience, placing qualified candidates sourced by the Central Delivery team and providing ongoing support to associates and clients.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with both passive and active candidates and associates to improve wellness, retention, and employability.
• Partner with Central Delivery teams to develop a diverse candidate pipeline addressing client needs, conducting extensive market networking and grassroots recruitment efforts.
• Identify, evaluate, and recommend innovative solutions to meet client requirements and resolve issues.
• Assess candidates to ensure qualification matching and overall compatibility with client needs.
• Coach candidates for client interviews and advocate for them during the hiring process.
• Provide associates with feedback, coaching, conflict management, and counseling to enhance on‑the‑job performance.
• Guide associates in developing and achieving professional goals, creating up‑skill and re‑skill plans to improve employability and retain/re‑employ them post‑assignment.
• Develop relationships with clients and business leaders to foster growth, understand unique requirements, and define strategic objectives and hiring needs.
• Grow wallet share within a portfolio of small to medium local clients, building industry knowledge, client insight, role understanding, market share, and competition awareness.
• Maintain client retention while maximizing fill rate, reducing time‑to‑fill, and ensuring high client satisfaction scores.
• Maintain general knowledge of Adecco’s service portfolio to price and sell services (temporary, conversion, and permanent placement).

Qualifications

• Post‑secondary education in a related field or equivalent experience showing progressive responsibility.
• A minimum of 2 to 3 years of related experience, ideally in a service‑oriented environment.
• Experience recruiting and/or working within the Human Resources solutions industry is an asset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and motivate others.
• Superior organizational skills, consistently meeting deadlines while managing multiple tasks and priorities.
• Proactive problem‑solving ability, recommending and implementing creative solutions efficiently.
• Consistently high customer‑service performance, building effective working relationships and identifying business opportunities.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing business needs.
• Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset but not required.

Salary & Additional Information

• Base salary range: $50,000 – $60,000 per annum.
• This position is for an existing vacancy.
