Litigation Law Clerk at BLG

Take your litigation expertise to the next level with BLG as a Law Clerk in Ottawa. Contribute to high-stakes disputes with a collaborative team in a hybrid work environment. At BLG, you will be an essential member of the Disputes Group, engaging in all aspects of litigation ranging from insurance to commercial disputes. With a minimum of three years of experience under your belt, you will work closely with our lawyers, manage complex files, and communicate directly with clients. This role requires strong knowledge of civil procedure, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to mentor junior staff. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist lawyers with various litigation tasks and procedures
- Prepare client reports and facilitate client communication
- Manage litigation files and coordinate with experts and counsel
- Collaborate within a committed team to provide excellent client service
- Mentor and impart knowledge to junior law clerks and students
- Minimum 3 years of law clerk experience focused on litigation
- Strong understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure
- College Law Clerk Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of iManage and Case Center preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
