Lead professional nursing practice in Vancouver Acute with Vancouver Coastal Health. As a Nursing Director, you'll influence quality care and operational excellence across a major healthcare environment.
The Professional Practice Director Nursing reports to the Executive Director and is integral to the Nursing Leadership Team. You will provide strategic and operational leadership in nursing, focusing on skilled standards, research activities, and advanced nursing practices. This prominent role enhances collaboration among operational leaders, physicians, and nursing staff to define exceptional care processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement professional practice policies aligned with VCH's strategic priorities
- Provide leadership in nursing across Vancouver Acute
- Guide professional practice networks to foster collaboration
- Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards
- Support initiatives for patient safety and quality improvements
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or Health Sciences
- Minimum of 8 years in leadership within healthcare
- Experience in professional practice and clinical operations
- Registered with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives
- Strong relationship-building and leadership skills
