Role Purpose The Managing Director will provide strategic leadership, commercial direction, and operational oversight for Chimoney, driving growth, profitability, regulatory compliance, innovation, and market expansion. The MD will be responsible for scaling Chimoney's payment infrastructure business across multiple markets while strengthening partnerships, growing revenue streams, improving customer adoption, and ensuring operational excellence. The role requires a leader who combines fintech expertise, strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and execution capability to position Chimoney as a leading global payment infrastructure provider.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Develop and execute Chimoney's strategic growth plan
Drive long-term business sustainability and shareholder value
Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams
Lead annual strategic planning and performance reviews
Align business objectives with CapitalSage Holdings' overall strategy Revenue Growth & Commercial Expansion Own revenue growth and profitability targets
Drive customer acquisition, retention, and market penetration initiatives
Build and strengthen enterprise partnerships across fintechs, banks, payment providers, and digital businesses
Expand Chimoney's footprint across Africa, Europe, North America, Latin America, and emerging markets
Develop new products and monetization opportunities Product & Innovation Leadership Provide strategic oversight for product development and innovation
Ensure products remain competitive, scalable, and customer‑centric
Drive adoption of emerging technologies and AI‑enabled solutions
Champion continuous improvement of payment APIs, wallets, payout infrastructure, and embedded finance solutions
Ensure product roadmaps support business growth objectives Operations & Business Performance Oversee day‑to‑day business operations
Establish performance metrics and operational KPIs
Drive operational efficiency and scalability
Ensure excellent customer experience and service delivery
Lead business transformation and process optimization initiatives Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations across operating jurisdictions
Oversee AML, KYC, sanctions screening, fraud prevention, and data privacy frameworks
Foster a strong culture of compliance and risk management
Maintain relationships with regulators and industry bodies
Ensure business continuity and operational resilience Financial Management Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
Drive sustainable profitability and prudent cost management
Monitor financial performance against approved budgets
Present business performance reports to the Board and Group Executive Management
Support fundraising and investor engagement initiatives where required Stakeholder Management Build solid relationships with investors, regulators, partners, and key customers
Represent Chimoney at industry conferences and strategic forums
Serve as the principal spokesperson for the business
Strengthen collaboration across CapitalSage portfolio companies People Leadership Build and lead a high‑performing executive team
Drive talent acquisition, development, succession planning, and employee engagement
Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and excellence
Ensure organizational capability aligns with business strategy Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Technology, Engineering, or related discipline. MBA or relevant Master's degree preferred.

Experience Essential Minimum: 12–15 years progressive experience, at least 5 years in senior executive leadership roles, demonstrated leadership within fintech, payments, banking, financial services, or technology businesses, proven experience scaling high‑growth businesses, solid commercial and P&L management experience, experience leading cross‑functional and geographically distributed teams.
Preferred: Payment infrastructure experience, API‑based business models, cross‑border payments and remittance experience, embedded finance and digital wallets experience, exposure to venture‑backed or growth‑stage companies, international business development experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
