Rogers is seeking an Account Executive for the Ontario Public Sector. This role is a key part of a team focused on both selling into publicly funded organizations and establishing strategic direction across the broader public sector in Ontario.
Use innovative selling techniques and knowledge of the client to grow business leveraging the full suite of Rogers Wireless, Wireline, IoT and Data Centre products and services.
Initiate and build relationships with key stakeholders within prospect accounts.
Develop extensive account and relationship growth strategies to gain insider status towards growing new business within prospect accounts.
Partner with key internal stakeholders to develop a customized value proposition to meet needs of prospects and work within Rogers to overcome barriers to sale.
Meet and exceed assigned sales targets as well and key milestones in the account plan.
In addition to traditional account executive responsibilities, the individual in this role will be responsible for supporting the team in the following activities :
Achieving acquisition and base MRR for the public sector – targets will be established on an annual basis and will be shared by the resources assigned to the public sector territory.
Active executive level bureaucrat and political call activity to establish relationships and influence future opportunities for Rogers – supported actively by Government Relations & Rogers Executives (as appropriate).
Active daily collaboration with additional resource(s) dedicated to the public sector territory.
Public Sector knowledge and experience.
Minimum 5-10 years experience in Wireless/Wireline/Data Centre and/or telecom industry, with proven success driving new business in the Medium to Large corporate accounts arena.
Demonstrated ability to develop and grow c-suite and other senior level relationships within key clients.
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding assigned quotas selling into prospect accounts.
Solid understanding of wireless, data and telecom products and services.
Strong account planning skills.
An innovative thinker with skill in generating solutions that meet customer needs.
Computer proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
University Degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred.
Comfortable with daily travel (GTA area).
