Facility Maintenance Coordinator Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Facility Maintenance Coordinator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Work safely at all times and promptly inform management about unsafe conditions existing;
- Maintain cleaning equipment and tools in good working condition, and notify Facilities Manager if repairs or replacements are necessary;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Maintain appropriate supply levels in assigned janitorial closets and storage areas;
- Replace liners in waste bins, as per specs for each stream;
- Daily maintenance and upkeep of the Cafe and Gym;
- Collect building waste throughout the day and place in designated collection area(s) for removal;
- On a daily basis, clean high traffic areas, meeting rooms, and spot-clean glass;
- Performs minor electrical maintenance, minor plumbing maintenance, minor painting, carpentry and masonry work;
- Must be able to work flexible hours at various locations and be on call as required;
- Maintain an organized system for all documentation;
- Oversee all facilities maintenance and upkeep, act as the external vendor contact for maintenance and repair;
- Sign in/out and escort contractors as per Skyservice Security policies;
- Ongoing management of the relationship and communication within all departments, tenants, and Landlords;
- Assist with issuance, return and maintenance of security swipe cards.
Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- High School diploma or equivalent experience;
- Working knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment and products;
- An effective multi-tasker;
- Previous janitorial and building maintenance experience;
- Able to prioritize with a high sense of urgency while working in a fast paced environment;
- Able to take direction;
- Can work independently and function cooperatively as part of the Facilities Team.
