Our company is looking for a Maintenance & Service Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Interior and exterior painting;
  • Management and prioritization of work orders;
  • Management of demolition and deconstruction of spaces;
  • Supervision and inspection of team’s service work;
  • Drywall duties including framing, boarding, mudding, taping and sanding;
  • Overseeing all area of service and maintenance, including but not limited to: Carpentry, including framing and general construction;
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving, working towards creative and cost-effective solutions for our clients;
  • Prioritization of work orders and assigning the right people accordingly;
  • Removal and installation of new kitchen, bathroom, and restaurant fixtures (including plumbing and electrical);
  • Managing schedule to meet timelines;
  • Educate and enforce safety in the workplace;
  • Safety investigation and reporting, as needed;
  • Identify and coach team on opportunities to improve skills and quality of work.

Requirements:

  • Maintains a flexible schedule to meet the needs of our restaurant clients (as needed);
  • The ability to effectively lead a team;
  • Training and experience in the safe use of power and hand tools;
  • Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and heating systems;
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience at a supervisory or management level, preferably in the construction industry;
  • Working knowledge of electrical, fire, health and safety codes;
  • Previous WHMIS training and experience working with hazardous chemicals;
  • Must have a valid B.C. Driver’s License;
  • Able to perform skilled construction and maintenance tasks such as framing, drywall, basic plumbing and electrical;
  • Able to be flexible, self-motivated and take initiative;
  • Completion of High School Diploma;
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment where mutual support is essential;
  • Strong conflict resolution and decision making skills;
  • Able to perform physical work including bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50lbs;
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
