Community Health Worker - Seniors Fitness
ACCESS ALLIANCE
Empower immigrant seniors with Access Alliance in York and Scarborough, Ontario, through a role focused on fitness and health education. This position engages diverse communities weekly. As a Senior Fitness Program Worker, you will lead fitness classes and health workshops tailored for seniors aged 55 and above. Your contribution will include developing outreach programs and integrating newcomers into community services effectively. Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to seniors’ wellness are essential. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead various fitness and health education sessions
- Coordinate events and outings for seniors
- Establish partnerships for resource sharing
- Mentor volunteers to enhance program effectiveness
- Compile and analyze program data for reports
- Degree in Kinesiology or related field
- 1 year minimum experience teaching fitness classes
- 3 years’ community outreach experience
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications
- Willingness to travel within city limits
