Nurse Educator for Seniors’ Health Centre
North York General Hospital
Join NYGH as a Nurse Educator in the Seniors’ Health Centre to promote interprofessional education and enhance resident care quality. Focus on developing best practices and innovative programs. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for leading educational initiatives that improve competency among staff while supporting quality and safe care. Collaborating with other clinical leaders, you will plan, develop, and evaluate programs specific to interprofessional staff and residents. Your strong interpersonal skills and clinical expertise will be essential in fostering a collaborative work environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and evaluate educational initiatives for care teams
- Develop, implement, and assess staff training programs
- Revise evidence-based practices in line with evolving standards
- Conduct clinically focused research and promote learning
- Foster a culture of People-Centred Care within the team
- B.Sc.N. required; Master’s degree preferred
- Current registration with Ontario’s College of Nurses
- 3 years of experience in Long-Term Care
- Familiarity with Adult Education models
- Gerontology Certificate is a plus
