Senior Manager, SMB National Sales Centre

Overview

Senior Manager, SMB National Sales Centre leads national sales strategy and execution for the SMB portfolio. The role is accountable for driving new revenue growth, reducing customer churn, and building a high‑performing sales organization across management, account management, analytics, and channel development. The position is based in Toronto, with a hybrid model of in‑office and remote work.

Location

Toronto office; hybrid work arrangement.

Reporting Relationship

Reports to the Director, Business Development, Small-to-Medium Businesses (SMB).

Compensation

The expected base salary range is $115,000–$147,000. Total compensation may include variable or discretionary incentive components such as bonuses and commissions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead national SMB sales strategy and execution to achieve revenue growth targets and improve customer retention.
  • Manage and develop Sales Managers to meet quota, setting targets aligned to corporate objectives and market conditions.
  • Deliver $25M+ in annual new business revenue while supporting long‑term portfolio and value‑added services growth.
  • Evaluate sales performance data, implement action plans to optimize results and identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop and present data‑driven recommendations to enhance go‑to‑market strategy, product positioning, and sales effectiveness.
  • Produce regular performance reporting with actionable insights for senior leadership and executive decision‑making.
  • Define resource requirements and optimize team structure to meet sales targets and operational goals.
  • Build and maintain cross‑functional partnerships to support market expansion and improve market share.
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities through analysis of customer, competitor, and industry trends.
  • Own the Sales Centre annual business plan in alignment with short, mid, and long‑term SMB sales targets.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 7–10years of sales or call centre experience.
  • 2–3years of people‑management experience.
  • Experience achieving and exceeding sales targets in a quota‑driven environment.
  • Experience in telephone sales across inbound, outbound, and retention channels.
  • Demonstrated experience leading change initiatives and driving continuous improvement.
  • Proven sales and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated track record for delivering quality work on time.
  • Experience in the payments industry (preferred).
  • Bilingual in English and French (preferred).
