Protrans Personnel Services is currently recruiting for an HR Coordinator / Junior HR Generalist to support a well-established manufacturing organization in Montreal.
This is a great opportunity for a bilingual HR professional with 1–2 years of hands-on human resources or recruitment experience who is looking for a practical, fast-paced role with strong ownership. The successful candidate will work closely with the HR Manager and support day-to-day recruitment, onboarding, HR administration, employee communication, and documentation.
This role is heavily focused on recruitment and will involve supporting hiring for both hourly and salaried positions, including machine operators, mechanics, production supervisors, administrative staff, accounting support, and other plant-based roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Support recruitment activities, including resume screening, candidate shortlisting, interview coordination, and follow-up
- Prepare job postings and assist with sourcing candidates
- Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and candidates
- Assist with offer letters, onboarding paperwork, and new hire orientation
- Maintain employee files, HR records, and documentation
- Support HR compliance, filing, and audit-related documentation
- Assist with employee communications for shop floor and office teams
- Coordinate training activities as required
- Provide general administrative support to the HR Manager
- Support other HR projects and duties as needed
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in human resources, recruitment, talent acquisition, HR coordination, or a related role
- Bilingual in English and French
- Strong hands-on recruitment experience, including screening resumes and coordinating interviews
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent organization, follow-up, and time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing, plant, industrial, logistics, or operations-based environment
- Ability to work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision
Nice to Have
- Experience recruiting for hourly, skilled trades, production, warehouse, manufacturing, or administrative roles
- Experience in a unionized or plant environment
- Agency recruitment or high-volume recruitment experience
- Experience supporting onboarding, HR documentation, or training coordination
