Intermediate Accounting Lead - Accounts Payable

Join our team as an Intermediate Accounting Lead specializing in Accounts Payable, focusing on efficiency and compliance. This role is key in managing comprehensive accounting processes and is available for a 6-month contract. We are in search of a skilled individual with a minimum of two years in full-cycle accounting and strong accounts payable experience. You will directly supervise the AP team, handle vendor inquiries, and ensure that all journal entries are accurately recorded within federal regulations. Your contribution will include preparing essential reports for management and ensuring that sales tax is correctly filed. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead AP activities and manage transaction details daily
- Resolve vendor-related issues effectively
- Prepare various financial reconciliations and reports monthly
- File sales tax returns and support annual reviews
- Assist in preparing internal control documentation
- 2+ years experience in accounts payable and full-cycle accounting
- Knowledge of SAP and advanced Excel skills
- Strong communication and analytical thinking
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management
- Ability to adapt to new challenges and processes
