Associate Director – Asset‑Backed Securities

Lead the rating and research of Asset‑Backed Securities (ABS) transactions, focusing on U.S. ABS markets, especially auto loan, auto lease and equipment leasing sectors. Develop and author market commentary, research reports, and rating assessments that influence investor decisions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the critical credit, legal and structural elements of ABS transaction structures.
• Assist in developing rating criteria, writing reports and recommending analysis enhancements.
• Deploy and implement cash‑flow models and tools used in the rating process.
• Lead and support research projects on sector trends and developments.
• Maintain assigned rating relationships and communicate credit opinions publicly.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree with a minimum of 4 years of work experience in structured finance; direct ABS experience preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills, especially written, with strong quantitative and technical expertise.
• Self‑motivated, able to manage multiple deadlines, with robust time‑management and organizational abilities.
• Strong understanding of credit fundamentals and a willingness to quickly learn new concepts and techniques.

Desired Additional Experience (Stand Out)

• Experience in the Structured Finance sector from a credit perspective.
• Hands‑on cash‑flow modeling or loss forecasting analysis.
