Pathologists' Assistant Role at South Health Campus

Make an impactful difference as a Pathologists' Assistant I at South Health Campus. Focus on detailed tissue examination and surgical specimen reporting in a full-time role. In this regular full-time position, you will directly support pathologists by accurately dissecting and documenting various surgical specimens. Your responsibilities include managing complex specimen tasks, assisting with autopsies, and ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures. Join a team dedicated to high-quality diagnostics and patient care in Anatomic Pathology. Key Responsibilities:
- Process and document findings of surgical tissues
- Handle diverse specimen complexities with efficiency
- Assist in conducting autopsies and gross examinations
- Adhere to SOPs while handling specimens
- Train residents and evaluate staff performance
- Master’s Degree in Pathologists’ Assistant or equivalent
- Active or eligible CCCPA certification
- Ability to lift heavy specimens and stand for shifts
- Manual dexterity skills for specimen handling
- Proficiency in LIS and Microsoft applications preferred
