Project Engineer Role Focused on Process

As a Project Engineer with The City of Calgary, you will lead critical projects aimed at enhancing the community’s water services. Responsibilities include managing engineering tasks, overseeing construction, and ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory standards. You'll work closely with diverse teams to implement strategic project goals. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage design, contract preparation, and project oversight
  • Conduct thorough reviews of project designs and specifications
  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and contractor performance
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders for project success
  • Develop strategic plans for the engineering team
Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering
  • 0-3 years of professional engineering experience
  • Current P. Eng. designation with APEGA
  • Experience with municipal infrastructure beneficial
  • Proficient in collaborative project management practices
