Bethany Care Society seeks a Lead Corporate Accountant to enhance financial practices and reporting in Calgary. This role emphasizes leadership and service orientation in financial operations. Tasked with oversight of financial reporting, the Team Lead is essential in establishing a culture of continuous improvement. You will lead effective financial processes, assisting with compliance, audits, and cash flow management. The position focuses on collaboration and strategic influence within the finance team and other areas. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of audit-ready financial statements
- Monitor general ledger and reconciliation integrity
- Refine existing financial procedures and controls
- Act as Workday Functional Lead for finance activities
- Develop corporate accounting staff with clear metrics
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- Minimum 8 years of experience in finance functions
- At least 3 years in a leadership capacity
- Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Workday
- Excellent communication skills for cross-department influence
