Senior Bridge Engineer / Project Manager (Markham)

Senior Bridge Engineer / Project Manager Location: Markham, Brampton, London, Hamilton or Ottawa, ON.
Responsibilities Perform project management for the planning, design, rehabilitation and inspection of bridges.
Prepare the design specifications required for both design of new structures and rehabilitation of existing structures.
Conduct analysis and design calculations as per the applicable codes, standards and regulations.
Lead and manage assigned projects and ensure the achievement of project objectives.
Coordinate and supervise the appointed technicians and engineers to the project.
Participate and contribute in office/region coordination with other disciplines as required, including business development and resource sharing.
Mentor junior designers and provide direction for engineers during various phases of design and construction.
Review and revise technical documents required to produce the necessary tender documents for construction.
Prepare tender documents including specifications, quantities and drawings.
Perform other various activities necessary for the implementation of projects and participate in proposal preparation.
Qualifications Experience with design of current structures and rehabilitation of existing structures.
Bachelor''s degree in Civil Engineering and registered as a . in Ontario. 10+ years of relevant experience in construction, design and rehabilitation of bridges.
Must have experience working with MTO, cities and municipalities.
The ideal candidate will be RAQS registered, certified/able to register for multi-span bridge category with MTO.
Must have in depth knowledge in the design of bridges and familiar with MTO design guidelines; specifications and standards.
Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis software; and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Salary and Benefits Salary range: $108,610 - $143,972. Compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. EXP subscribes to the Workplace Equity Program.
