Reporting to the Director, Sales & Marketing, as a member of the Sales & Marketing team, the Manager is responsible for maximizing revenues generated in the group segment. He/she will be responsible for handling requests from groups of 50 rooms or more.He/she will work closely with other managers to maximize sales and liaise with convention and meeting service managers.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain key business relationships and partnerships to increase company rates, volume and revenue.
• Negotiate group rates.
• Develop and generate group contracts.
• Follow-up on proposals and contracts.
• Strategically structure pricing for each category segment.
• Understand global market and economic trends.
• Work in collaboration with Marriott International (GSO) and business partners.
• Participate in industry activities both inside and outside the hotel.

Languages: Bilingualism (French and English), both spoken and written, is required for this position, as we serve an international clientele.

Experience

• 1-year sales experience is preferred
• Strong sales, negotiation, presentation and business writing skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a demanding environment.
• Willingness to travel and availability evenings and weekends as needed.
