Regional Business Development Lead - Forestry (Vancouver)

Job Opportunity

Stantecs Energy is looking for a Forest Products Regional Business Development Lead to join our growing and expanding team in Western Canada, with possibility for other North American locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive sustainable and growing sector revenue and sales within the region, working collaboratively with operations, account and project teams to achieve defined operational performance metrics.
• Contribute to the development and execution of the sector’s business strategy, with accountability for region‑specific strategies and priorities.
• Support local business development pursuits and coordinate a core team of professionals to achieve business development and financial goals.
• Collaborate with counterparts across Stantec to leverage client and sector information, expertise and practice groups.
• Facilitate partnerships across practice groups and promote sales collaboration.
• Generate new business, lead client relationships and deliver long‑term value to clients.
• Conduct market research, develop leads, secure contracts and develop action plans from client surveys.

Capabilities & Credentials

• Technical experience in pulp and paper, paper, tissue manufacturing processes, bio‑forestry sectors or related fields.
• Demonstrated leadership ability to engage, motivate, empower, mentor, teach and promote others.
• Project delivery experience working with a diverse and distributed staff and client base.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Strong network with industry contacts.
• Valid Canadian driver’s license and ability to travel up to 20%.
• Flexible to work outside normal hours of operation.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.

Pay Range

Locations in Lower Mainland – BC, GTA & Ottawa Ontario: $111,700 – $167,600 annually. Pay transparency law compliance. Pay is based on education, qualifications, experience and location.
