Assistant Professor, Limited Term, Business Law (Calgary)

About the Role
The Department of International Business, Supply Chain Management & Aviation at Mount Royal University invites applications for a one-year, limited term faculty position in Business Law at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 15, 2026, subject to budgetary approval.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a primary commitment to undergraduate teaching.
- Teach eight 3-credit hour courses per academic year in support of the Bachelor of Business Administration program.
- Actively participate in various service roles.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of courses in business law and related legal disciplines (e.g., employment, privacy, human rights).
- Maintain an inclusive learning environment by addressing equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility issues.
The teaching/service pattern focuses on teaching and service only.
Qualifications
- Minimum of an LLB or JD and membership in good standing with a Canadian Law Society.
- Completed Master of Laws (LL.M.), MBA, or a related master’s degree (Ph.D. an asset).
- Expertise in Canadian Business Law and related areas of legal practice.
- Teaching experience in Canadian business law at the post‑secondary or skilled level.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
