Account Manager - IT Services

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Account Manager - IT Services based in Canada. This role offers the opportunity to manage and grow an established portfolio of IT services clients through proactive relationship management and consultative sales. You will own the member lifecycle, ensuring clients receive high-quality support while identifying opportunities to strengthen retention and expand accounts. The position combines account management, client communication, operational coordination, and cross-selling within an IT research and advisory environment. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to understand needs, communicate value, and connect stakeholders with the right expertise. Strong organization and time management will be essential as you balance scheduled interactions, inbound requests, account activities, and growth initiatives. You will also maintain accurate CRM information and use account data to support effective planning and decision-making. This is a remote, full-time opportunity for an experienced account manager who enjoys building trusted client relationships and taking ownership of commercial results. Accountabilities: - Manage an assigned portfolio of client accounts, providing operational, administrative, and call-based support to strengthen relationships and drive renewals. - Create and execute sales and service activity plans aligned with account growth and client engagement objectives. - Manage the full member lifecycle, including scheduling and leading client calls and coordinating follow-up activities. - Own account management conversations with secondary stakeholders and ensure consistent, high-quality communication. - Help clients maximize the value of their membership through proactive service, engagement, and guidance. - Identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities that contribute to account growth and future sales. - Respond to inbound client requests and ensure questions, needs, and follow-ups are handled effectively. - Prepare for client interactions by researching and consolidating relevant information about individuals, organizations, and account relationships. - Conduct scheduled and ad hoc CRM data queries to support account management activities.

- Maintain accurate account records, contact information, and other relevant CRM data. - Continuously develop product and service knowledge to communicate value effectively and provide informed client support. Requirements: - University degree or equivalent relevant education. - 3+ years of account management experience with a demonstrated track record of success. - Experience working in the IT research and advisory sector. - Strong critical-thinking skills, with the ability to understand complex information and communicate it clearly and concisely. - Ability to understand client needs, clarify requests, and connect customers with appropriate internal expertise when required. - Strong planning and organizational skills, including the ability to structure daily activities and develop account growth plans. - Excellent time-management skills and the ability to prioritize competing tasks throughout the client lifecycle. - Strong goal-setting and performance-management abilities, with a proactive approach to professional development and accountability for results. - Excellent active listening skills, with the ability to identify client needs, ask thoughtful questions, and build productive relationships. - Strong internal and external communication skills. - Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment. - Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple account activities without losing focus on client needs.
