Editor in Chief at Vanguard Canada

Lead editorial initiatives at Vanguard, Canada's premier defence and security publication. In this hands-on role, you'll drive digital and print strategies while expanding conference programming. As Editor-in-Chief, you will set the editorial vision and manage daily operations across various platforms. Your responsibilities include commissioning content, editing contributions, writing original articles, and shaping conference agendas while fostering key relationships with DND, CAF, and the defence industry. Key Responsibilities:
• Set editorial direction for digital, print, and events
• Commission and edit articles from various contributors
• Write, report, and produce original stories
• Develop and execute conference agendas and recruit speakers
• Moderate discussions with senior industry and government leaders Requirements:
• Strong writing and editing experience in defence or security
• Background in journalism or defence policy analysis
• Familiarity with Canadian defence issues
• Proven ability in public engagement or communications
• Excellent organizational skills with overlapping deadlines Shape the future of Vanguard by leading editorial projects and engaging with Canada's defence community.
