Starting wage is $19.75-$24.00 per hour. Based on a full-time work week. This is an in office role. Wages may be scaled with relevant experience.
Job Duties:
- Act as a technical resource for our branches with respect to shipping requirements. Obtain freight quotes and investigate discrepancies.
- Invoice auditing, claim processing, rate negotiations, and customs clearance paperwork.
- Liaise with branch level staff to ensure freight charges are collected and accurately reported at the head office level.
- Work with branch managers to recognize and correct negative freight charge trends.
- Represent the company in an ethical and professional manner and maintain confidentiality.
- Provide analytical and reporting support to the procurement and supply chain teams.
- Actively participate in meetings and on projects; working as a member of the Procurement and Warehouse teams to determine root causes of issues and brainstorm solutions.
- Assess, develop and/or improve any of the procedures and processes within the Procurement and Sales Department.
Job Requirements:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven experience working with spreadsheets.
- Ability to maintain information confidentiality required.
- Knowledge of supply chain management would be an asset.
- Communication and interpersonal skills that will allow to clearly and concisely present information and to negotiate and influence others.
- Good diplomatic interpersonal skills and proactive approach to business.
