Administrative Assistant - Summer Student

Westerner Park is seeking an Administrative Assistant summer student to join our team for the Summer as part of the Canada Summer Jobs Program! Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Providing administrative support to departments as requested i.e., labeling, filing, laminating, paper trimming, creating excel sheets, and organizing documents.
• Review and prepare all documents, reports and other correspondence materials.
• Courteously receive and screen all in-bound calls, emails, and visitors and distribute accordingly
• Coordinate departmental office activities.
• Review, evaluate and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail.
• Take and transcribe dictation notes and meeting minutes. Collecting and distributing meeting minutes for Event Planning and staff meetings.
• Prepare spaces for meetings
• Assist with report and presentation preparation.
• Support the RV Resort with answering questions, assisting with bookings, taking payments, and other duties related to the RV Resort.

Is this you? Here’s what we’re looking for:

• Attending a business related post secondary program, or a recent graduate, preferably with an Administrative focus, is an asset
• Administrative Assistant experience is an asset 
• Experience using the Microsoft Office 365 suite 
• A pleasant, positive, and courteous attitude 
• Must qualify for the Canada Summer Jobs Program 

Rate of Pay: $18.00 Per Hour
Affiliation: Member of the Westerner Employees' Association
Duration: TBD based on Canada Summer Jobs Funding
