Explore your next role:

This position will be a three-month contract, taking place in June through August.

As a key member of the Corporate and Commercial Development team, the Summer Student will report to the Manager, Marketing and Corporate Communications, and will support the Marketing team by assisting with bringing creative visions to life through innovative visual solutions that elevate our brand presence across our marketing channels.

Your responsibilities:  

• Design graphics for digital platforms (social media, website, email campaigns)


• Create print materials such as posters, flyers, brochures, or internal communications


• Assist the marketing team with visual assets for campaigns and initiatives


• Translate creative ideas and briefs into finished design pieces


• Make revisions based on feedback from team members or stakeholders


• Organize and maintain design files, templates, and digital assets


• Work with tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign


• Apply basic typography, layout, and visual design principles


• Use AI tools where appropriate to support ideation or production


• Assist with additional marketing or communications tasks as assigned

Your Distinctive Ingredients for Success:  

• Must be currently enrolled in a recognized post-secondary program (college or university)


• Basic to intermediate proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign


• Understanding of graphic design fundamentals (layout, colour, typography, composition)


• Ability to design for digital platforms (social media, web, email) and print materials


• Experience editing and resizing images for different formats


• Familiarity with brand guidelines and visual consistency


• Experience using AI tools for ideation, concept development, or production support


• Complete tasks accurately and efficiently with high attention to detail


• Capable of working under pressure with tight deadlines


• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 


• Can work in a fast-paced environment


• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to identify solutions


• Able to follow verbal directions and understand instruction manuals 

Location and other Key Details:

• You will work out of our North Bay head office


• Hours of work are a regular Monday -Friday, 40-hour work week
