Job Responsibility:
Job Summary:We are seeking a Program Coordinator Teacher to join our team. The Program Coordinator Teacher will be responsible for organizing and coordinating educational programs for a high school student group from Japan, ensuring smooth operations and successful outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting to designated MLI staff duration of the program
- Participate in planning meetings
- Design the curriculum, lesson plan and associated student workbook/worksheets
- Organizing and overseeing activities
- Teaching ESL classes
- Attending the homestay matching on Arrival Day and see off student departures on Departure Day
- Monitor morning student arrival / afternoon student departure
- Daily check-ins with students on their wellbeing
- Addressing any concerns related to homestays and collaborating with the Local Coordinator to resolve issues
- Providing assistance during emergency situations
Qualifications:
- Canadian certified Teaching Degree OR ESL Teaching Certificate (TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, etc.)
- Teaching experience with international students
- Ability to adapt and modify curriculum to suit the learning pace and ability of your students
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Strong understanding of curriculum related to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and Global Leadership themes
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Job Type: Fixed term contractContract length: 1 month
Pay: From $1,500.00 per week
Flexible language requirement:
- French not required

- Monday to Friday
- On call
Experience:
- teaching: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Canadian Teaching Certificate OR ESL Teaching Certificate (preferred)
