WGST 100 – Introduction to Women’s and Gender Studies
This course examines the historical emergence of feminisms and women’s and gender studies. This course interrogates gender at the intersection of race, sexuality, colonialism, ability, class, among others. A range of topics that may draw on experiential learning, community engagement, visual culture from a decolonizing and social justice framework. Position Requirements
The successful candidate must
- hold a minimum of an MA in Women’s and Gender Studies, preferably a PhD;
- have a record of effective teaching at the post-secondary level;
- have experience managing classroom and online technologies used by the University of Regina (including UR Courses [Moodle])
Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada, and the work associated with this position must be performed within Canada. Physical Demands Pay Grade Faculty Sessional Salary Range As per URFA Collective Agreement Status Term Work Hours
The instructor will deliver the course face-to-face on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00-11:15.
Instructors are expected to have one office hour per week. Course Modality On Campus, Face-to-Face Course Dates and Time Tuesdays and Thursdays - 10:00-11:15 Duration (if Term/Temporary) September 1 - December 31, 2026. Sessional Lecturers may have preparatory work to do before the start date and sometimes may have to deal with grading tasks after the termination date.
