The incumbent of this position is responsible for ensuring the preparation, priming, sanding, and painting of all types of materials within the plant.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:· Work in a safe manner and follow safe work practices and policies· Prepares, primes, sands, and paints all types of material· Meets and maintains standards to provide quality-looking parts· Mixes paints as necessary· Helps to organize the material flow in the paint area and properhousekeeping standards· Participate in defining and improving standard work· Assist with training co-workers· Support a respectful workplace· Perform other duties across the plant as needed as directed bysupervision or managementQUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:· Highschool diploma, GED or an equivalent· Previous experience with painting in an industrial environment is an asset· Able to identify different colours and ensure consistency· Knowledge of and ability to mix paints is ideal· High level of attention to detail· Strong communication skills (written and verbal)· Able to take instruction/direction from all Managers· Demonstrates a sense of urgency at work and able to work under pressure· Possess strong organizational skills· Solid knowledge of painting trade equipment and tools is an asset· Demonstrated ability to understand and follow Standard Work is critical tothe success of this role· Proven ability to work independently· Demonstrates a positive attitude with the ability to interact effectively withother departments· Must have the ability to work flexible shifts and/or additional hours inorder to meet customer and timeline requirements· Engage in cross-training to maintain flexibility and adaptability to supportresource planningWage Range: MA-lll - $28.28 - $30.20 per hour + 6% Afternoon shift premium when applicableShift: 4:00pm – 2:30am, Monday to ThursdayThis is an existing position.AI is used when confirming receipt of application, notifying the candidate when the resume is being reviewed, assisting in the scheduling of interviews and to respond to candidates if they are not moving forward in the recruitment process.In accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 and the Ontario Human Rights Code, KML Windows Inc. will provide accommodation to applicants with disabilities throughout the recruitment, selection and/or assessment process.
