Shape MAP’s public profile through strategic communications, compelling writing, and digital content development in a hybrid Toronto-based position. Translate research into clear stories.As Senior Communications Specialist, you will refresh and implement MAP’s external communications strategy. You will create campaigns, social media content, and public-facing stories about health equity and public health research. The work supports MAP’s brand and reputation across local, national, and international audiences. You will collaborate with MAP scientists, Unity Health Toronto, St. Michael’s Hospital Foundation, and communications partners.Key Responsibilities:
Develop communication strategies supporting MAP’s strategic prioritiesWrite compelling stories and social media contentIdentify media opportunities and coordinate pitchingPrepare impact reports, keynote decks, and speaking notesEvaluate communication channels and products through metricsRequirements:
Undergraduate degree or diploma in communications or related fieldFive to seven years of relevant experienceExperience developing campaigns and communications strategiesExceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skillsStrong stakeholder relationships and project management abilitiesBring strategic communications, digital storytelling, and research translation expertise to MAP’s health equity mission in Toronto.
