Job Responsibility:
The opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our remote team.
As a remote project-based member of our bookkeeping team, you will get to work on assignments related to Payroll, general bookkeeping tasks, etc.
Requirements :- Familiar with the Canadian tax system.-Ability to work 5 to 20 hours per week, with flexibility to meet reporting deadlines.-Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accountant, or similar role.- Proficiency in accounting and project software such as Xero QuickBooks Online, Cantax, Taxprep, Caseware, Sage 300, Sage Intact, clickup, and Mircosoft teams is greatly desired.-Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Education and Skills Requirements:
-University degree or college diploma in business or accounting, with a minimum of 3 years of related accounting experience.
- Tech-savvy with an interest to learn new software/applications
- Strong time-management abilities and self-motivation
- Able to work independently and demonstrates the ability to handle multiple priorities.
-Excellent team player and work well in a remote environment
- Well-rounded communication skills; both written and verbal.
- Willingness to accept increasing responsibility as experience grows
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organization skills, with strong attention to detail on accounting and bookkeeping matters
- Proficient in spoken and written Cantonese/Mandarin is an asset
