Document Control Specialist

Summary of Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Document Control Lead, the incumbent will be part of the Engineering and Construction team. More specifically, he or she will be responsible for:

• Record, update, maintain and make available to the various internal and external stakeholders documents necessary for the smooth execution of projects.
• Prepare and transfer information files in accordance with established procedures and schedules.
• Monitor the quality of documentation and ensure compliance with documentation standards defined by the project team.
• Manage receipt and track documents from suppliers and the engineering department.
• Ensure compliance with document processing deadlines and manage delays.
• Provide support to the supply chain regarding requests for proposals.
• Classify and archive engineering drawings.
• Prepare weekly reports for monitoring purposes regarding workflow delays, progress on deliverables, and supplier documentation.
• Create user profiles, define permissions, and train employees on the use of the document management tool.
• Ensure that all document control and project-related information control activities are carried out effectively.

Qualification

• Post-secondary degree and a minimum of 3 years of practical experience.
• Experience in construction or mining projects is a plus.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new documentation systems.
• Sense of initiative and attention to detail.
• Very good command of French and English, both spoken and written; knowledge of Spanish is an asset.
