Purchasing Agent Expeditor

Bronswerk manages the entire process, from design to commissioning, installation and in-service support.

Your challenge:

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Procurement Agent - Expeditor will be required to expedite and confirm purchase orders, and place / reschedule orders when required. You will be responsible for maintaining an accurate computer system of order due dates with updated information supplied by the vendors that have been reported and that you have requested and coordinated.

You will utilize expert expeditor knowledge to ensure the timely acquisition and flow of all purchased materials to the jobsites. The responsibility of the Purchasing Agent - Expeditor will begin where an input or a deliverable is needed from the supplier. Performance and accuracy under pressure are required to be successful in this role, as the activities tend to be fast paced, deadline oriented and on-time delivery focused.

Major Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Working in collaboration with the procurement team to:

• Confirm supplier's understanding of project deliverables;
• Confirm supplier's inputs or deliverables are received on-time (e.g. technical offers, commercial offers, all kinds of documentations requested by Bronswerk);
• Verify and ensure that supplier's inputs match project requirements (e.g. Order Acknowledgements etc.);
• Follow-up with suppliers on any kind of deliverables;
• Control the late deliveries KPI's and maintain them so they stay as low as possible;
• Analyze, focus and improve key strategic suppliers with poor on-time delivery performances;
• Report any risk of various impacts to Procurement and Project team;
• Contribute and lead actions to improve on-time internal or external delivery process.

What sets you apart?

• A high school degree or equivalent experience;
• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience as Procurement Expeditor or similar appointment
• Proactive approach, deadline oriented
• Sedulous with suppliers' follow-ups
• Experience working within Vendor/manufacturing shops is an asset
• High-level attention to details
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and perform completion of tasks
• Experience with Excel, Outlook, and ERP (e.g. SAP, Oracle, NAV etc.)
• Excellent organization
• Bilingual (French / English)
