CRIBE (Centre for Research and Innovation in the Bioeconomy) is Ontario’s leading forest-based innovation accelerator. As an independent, non-profit organization based in Thunder Bay, CRIBE is dedicated to supporting and developing a sustainable, profitable provincial forest bioeconomy. CRIBE connects industry, researchers, government, and end users to create and commercialize innovative, low-carbon, forest-based solutions.

Position Overview

We're looking for a quality-focused, organized, and detail-oriented Program Coordinator to join the CRIBE team.

In this role, you'll coordinate, manage, and ensure the continuity of CRIBE's programs and services, working closely with the Manager of Innovation Programming, the CEO, and support staff on scheduling, logistics, budgeting, and program execution. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting CRIBE's mission to advance biobased materials, decarbonize heavy industries, and build a circular economy across Ontario's forest sector.

This position is full-time, and strong preference will be given to candidates living in Thunder Bay.

The anticipated start date is negotiable, but preference is for the month of September.

Program Design & Delivery

• Design, develop, deliver, and evaluate impactful programs from concept through completion.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for program management.
• Develop project contracts and work with project proponents to track deliverables and budget/expenditures

Stakeholder Engagement & Communications

• Collaborate on communications, promotion, and outreach for programs alongside CRIBE's Communications Coordinator.
• Build and maintain stakeholder relationships, engaging proponents and partners to advance circular economy and resource-efficiency initiatives across the forest sector and manufacturing.
• Lead internal planning meetings with the Manager of Innovation Programming and the CEO, and plan/facilitate external meetings and workshops with interest-holders (virtual and in-person).

Budget Oversight & Reporting

• Oversee and monitor program budgets and timelines, ensuring adherence to contractual and financial guidelines.
• Keep detailed, accurate records of program progress and outcomes.
• Gather and analyze feedback to ensure continuous program improvement.
• Support quarterly claims and associated reports to CRIBE’s funders.

Administrative & Team Support

• Provide administrative support to the team as required.
• Pursue opportunities for professional growth and development.
• Assist team with event planning and logistics.
• Additional managerial duties as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Secondary School Diploma; University degree in Forestry, Engineering, Business Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of work experience preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills (both written and verbal).
• Demonstrated project management and time management abilities.
• Must be willing to travel occasionally within Ontario, with the potential to travel on national and international levels.
• Proven experience facilitating and coordinating stakeholder workshops and information sessions (both in-person and virtual).
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience in communications or project management is an asset.

In addition to a dynamic work environment, the successful candidate will receive:

• Three weeks (15 days) of vacation prorated, plus five additional days during the Christmas holiday season.
• Access to health benefits, if eligible.
• Access to the Group Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP).
• Salary ranging from $65,000 to $80,000, commensurate with experience.

The successful candidate will receive a full-time contract until March 31, 2028, with the potential for extension.
