Position Summary

The Houseperson plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department by ensuring guest rooms are properly stocked, serviced, and prepared to Cabot Revelstoke Mountain Lodge's luxury standards. This position works closely with Room Attendants and Supervisors to support room readiness, guest requests, inventory management, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, physically active, and committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping Operations & Room Readiness

Support Room Attendants by delivering linens, amenities, supplies, and equipment throughout the property.

Assist with room readiness to ensure guest rooms meet Cabot luxury standards.

Conduct room inspections and quality checks as directed by Supervisors.

Assist with room turnovers and special housekeeping projects as required.

Ensure housekeeping carts, storage rooms, and back-of-house areas remain organized and fully stocked.

Guest Service & Amenities

Deliver guest amenities, requests, and special items promptly and professionally.

Support VIP arrivals and special guest room set-ups.

Respond to guest requests courteously and efficiently.

Contribute to creating exceptional guest experiences through timely and attentive service.

Inventory & Supply Management

Assist with the transportation and organization of linens, supplies, and amenities.

Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to leadership.

Receive, organize, and distribute housekeeping supplies as required.

Support departmental inventory counts and stock management practices.

Quality, Safety & Teamwork

Report maintenance concerns, damages, or safety hazards promptly.

Follow all housekeeping procedures, cleanliness standards, and safety protocols.

Operate housekeeping equipment safely and responsibly.

Work collaboratively with Room Attendants, Supervisors, Front Office, and Maintenance teams.

Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous housekeeping, hospitality, or customer service experience is an asset; however, no experience is required as full training will be provided.

Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Ability to work AM, PM, weekends, and holiday shifts as required.

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull housekeeping carts, equipment, linens, and supplies throughout the shift.
