Digital Education and Instructional Designer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented Digital Education and Instructional Designer to join our team. This role requires a deep understanding of educational technology, proficiency in designing digital learning experiences, and a strong grasp of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project management within educational contexts and be capable of managing multiple programs across career colleges in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop engaging, interactive, and effective digital learning materials for multiple courses.
• Utilize educational technology tools, with proficiency in Articulate being an asset.
• Implement and manage content on learning management systems, preferably Moodle.
• Apply Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles to ensure inclusivity and accessibility in course design.
• Collaborate closely with subject matter experts to understand learning objectives and content requirements.
• Under the guidance from the Director of Curriculum, Quality and Compliance, manage instructional design projects from start to finish, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Provide expertise and guidance on adult learning principles and educational best practices.
• Conduct evaluations and assessments to measure the effectiveness of instructional materials and recommend improvements.
• Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in educational technology and instructional design.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in (Adult) Education, Educational Technology, or equivalent field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in instructional design within an adult education setting (university, vocational college).
• Demonstrated proficiency in educational technology tools and learning management systems, particularly Moodle.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Deep understanding of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles and their application in instructional design.
• Experience with remote work and flexibility in work arrangements.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Articulate or similar e-learning authoring tools.
• Familiarity with Canadian career colleges and their educational landscape.
• Experience in teaching.

Location:

This position can be a primarily remote position in Canada, allowing flexibility in work location.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 per year
