Job Responsibility:
Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. This position is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to contribute to a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative menu items that align with restaurant concepts.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and restaurant policies.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest quality before serving.
- Handle any kitchen-related issues that arise during service, ensuring a smooth operation.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Experience in restaurant management, including inventory control and menu planning.
- Excellent culinary skills with a passion for cooking and hospitality.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
